W.D.D / Christmas booklet

I took charge of the design and art direction for World Design Degree’s Christmas booklet. Since many celebratory cards use pleasant gimmicks, I applied that idea to the booklet in order to entertain the viewer. Most items have an axis of symmetry and I took advantage of this. Only half of the image of the main item is printed. When you turn over page, a mirror reflects the image and creates a familiar figure.

World Design Degreeの為のクリスマスカタログのデザイン。多くのクリスマスカードやグリーティングカードには、もらった人が喜ぶような小さな仕掛けがしてあるものが多く、そのアイデアをカタログに採用した。全てのページのメインビジュアルは半分だけしか印刷されておらず、本を読む人がページをめくり、表紙の裏に取り付けられている鏡にページを映し出す事によって初めてその形が見えるデザインになっている。
